The Bank holiday weekend

I just spent this past weekend in Brighton & Hove at my parents' house. My father decided to have a school reunion for his primary school that he attended about 50 years ago, he also asked me and my sister to come down to help out.

It was three days of entertaining, firstly 5 people were invited over on Friday night (so 8 in total) then three people came over for Saturday lunch (it was supposed to be two but one man turned up a day early). Then on Sunday we put out tables and chairs in the Garden and had 50 people (including my sister and I). Thankfully it was a warm, sunny day. My mother heavily over-catered so froze what she could and gave the rest away to the local homeless centre who were very grateful as all they were planning to serve that day was soup.

On top of that my parents are not going to have to buy alcohol or soft drinks until late this year as nearly nobody drank the soft drink cans and they ended up with more wine than they started with (due to people bringing bottles - one guy owns a vineyard).
