Yesterday was the JLGB London Sports Day held at Lee Valley Athletics Centre. After last year, when it was rained off as it was outside, the decision was taken to hold it indoors. As it turned out, the weather was fine but it was nice to use a nearly brand new facility.
There were three track events, the 60m, 200m and 400m and three field events, the long jump, high jump and Shot put. Boys and girls competed seperately and they were three age categories - 11 &12 year olds, 13 & 14 Year olds and over 14s.
As a company taking under 10 children we did extremely well. The boys won or came second in nearly all their events and the girls did well with a few wins and high places (we had twice as many boys as girls attending).
